Munich’s Midsummer Night’s Dream 2016 is a one day event which takes place at the Olympia Park’s Olympic Stadium and at the Coubertinplatz, also within the Olympic Park. In its 12th instalment, the event has become one of the highlights of Munich’s open-ais summers, not just because of the magnificent fireworks. This year, The BossHoss, SDP, Marlon Roudette, Gestört aber GeiL! will have concerts at the stadium, while Stefanie Heinzmann, Ringswandl & Band, Lions Head and Seven are set to take the stage at the Coubertinplatz.
The yearly highlight of the Midsummer Night’s Dream are the fireworks. In 2016, a firework of 4 tons, lasting some 35 minutes is planned to light the sky over the city’s Olympic Park, accompanied by music. A part of the fireworks is going to be lit at the Olympic Lake. Below is a great video of the fireworks from 2015.
